Après des études en médiation culturelle et en histoire de l’art, Meriem Khali est engagée par une grande société d’art contemporain qui l’amène à voyager un peu partout. Elle finit par s’installer à New York et concentre son activité autour du théâtre à Broadway. Aux Etats-Unis, elle découvre une nouvelle manière de s’occuper de ses cheveux, de manière naturelle et pas trop pharmaceutique : « J’ai toujours eu des problèmes capillaires dans ma carrière, pour gérer mon temps entre la recherche de produits, les achats, etc ». De retour en France, c’est le déclic : « J’ai vu qu’il y avait un manque sur le marché. En discutant avec d’autres femmes, je me suis dit qu’on pouvait faire un truc ». Dans un premier temps, elle se rapproche de la MIEL, qui la redirige pour la création vers des structures de financements adaptées. Après un prêt d’honneur de 10 000 euros d’Initiative France, France Active se porte caution auprès de la banque pour un prêt plus important. « Je ne m’y attendais pas du tout. J’avais très peu d’apport, et la caution de France Active Garances Seine-Saint-Denis m’a permis de débloquer le prêt, puis la création du projet, etc. » Elle insiste sur les effets positifs de la garantie bancaire, véritable gage de confiance dans l’écosystème de la création d’entreprise « France Active, en cautionnant le prêt, sont les premiers acteurs qui croient en nous. Le fait d’être cautionné débloque tout, c’est le premier pas qui rend le projet concret et qui permet de convaincre toutes les autres parties prenantes ». Elle ne regrette absolument pas sa reconversion entrepreneuriale, qui répond à ses aspirations d’indépendance : « les entrepreneurs le sont intrinsèquement. J’ai toujours voulu créer des choses, j’avais juste l’impression de ne pas avoir la bonne idée. On est nombreux à vouloir être indépendants et libres. On travaille mille fois plus mais c’est dix mille fois plus gratifiant, personne ne nous empêche d’atteindre nos objectifs ». Conjointement à la dimension économe, son projet s’est naturellement porté dans un engagement social et environnemental : « on impose aux gens de prendre soin de soi avec des produits chimiques. J’allais comme tout le monde dans les grandes surfaces bourrés de cancérigènes. Je voulais de la traçabilité, et quelque chose de sain. Les sociétés historiques faisaient du naturel, mais version pharmaceutique, qui a l’apparence d’un médicament. Le packaging n’était pas adapté. Les consommateurs aujourd’hui ont besoin d’avoir des produits en cohérence avec leurs attentes ». Un gros travail est réalisé pour traduire cette volonté dans les produits, sains, naturels et responsables, et dans la communication : « C’est un produit, mais aussi un message qu’on véhicule. Nous portons une volonté de changement. » Au-delà de l’expertise naturelle des produits, l’entreprise répond à une logique made in France : les produits sont tous fabriqués en France.
Après deux ans, Madame la Présidente a embauché sa première salariée, touché plus de 10 000 clients, qui formulent de très bonnes recommandations. Pour Virginie Hils, tout commence lors d’un “marathon de l’innovation WAOUP” à Lyon en 2015. Occupant des fonctions marketing dans l’agroalimentaire, elle est invitée à participer à des tables rondes de l’évènement. Elle choisit le sujet “un village sur deux n’a plus de commerce en France”. « Ça m’a parlé immédiatement, j’y voyais du sens ». Le thème continue de l’intéresser par la suite. Elle en parle autour d’elle, rencontre du monde… et progressivement sa volonté de créer une structure pour répondre à cette problématique se renforce. « En rencontrant des gens on a vu que les villages perdaient tous leurs services et devenaient villages-dortoirs ».
Elle veut redonner de la vie, du tissu social et leur charme à ces villages. « C’est dommage parce que malgré tout, les gens ont envie d’autre chose que la vie urbaine, les villages que l’on visite ont très souvent une population en croissance mais pas forcément les commerces et services qui vont avec. » C’est à ce moment que le déclic survient : « Je voulais travailler sur un nouveau mode de distribution plus juste entre producteurs dans un projet qui favorise l’artisanat et le savoir-faire locaux, ramène des services de proximité et un lieu de vie au coeur des villages. »[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Pour les comptoirs, y croire, ça compte
C’est le moment de se lancer. Le concept est de mettre les moyens de communication et de commerce modernes au service du produit local, de l’authenticité et du circuit court. Les comptoirs doivent proposer un service d’épicerie, mais aussi remplir une fonction de service et de lien social (presse, conciergerie, permanences hebdomadaires pour médecins, esthéticiennes, assurance, médiation sociale, …). L’aventure démarre avec un comptoir dans la Loire, à Champdieu. Le groupe La Poste est le premier partenaire du projet, puisque la boutique s’installe en reprise d’une agence postale souhaitant se transformer : « Il faut parfois ne pas réfléchir pour se lancer dans l’aventure entrepreneuriale : le maire et La Poste nous ont suivi sur la base d’une présentation du projet ».
La Région Auvergne Rhône-Alpes soutien le projet au travers d’une subvention. L’agence s’étoffe de produits locaux et d’une offre de services. Un an après, les résultats sont bons : il est temps de se développer.
France Active Auvergne Rhône-Alpes à travers Rhône-Développement Initiative, les accompagne sur un prêt à l’innovation de 80 000 euros, doublé d’une garantie d’emprunt bancaire.
